    Yes, it's true - Betty began her career as a dog!
    Betty Boop made her debut as a sexy canine cabaret singer in the Max Fleischer short "Dizzy Dishes" on Aug. 8, 1930. By 1932 Boop had evolved, and her floppy dog ears had become Betty's earrings. Betty's beginings were quite risque and ahead of her time. In 1933 the short "Boilesque" was banned in Philadelphia for being too risque. By 1934, due to moralist pressure, Betty began showing far less leg. The Boop series ended with the release of "Yip Yip Yippy" in 1939.

    Elvis Presley Mini-Bio

    Elvis Aaron Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 8th, 1935. As a child he went to church and was exposed to gospel music. He won a talent contest when he was ten, graduated high school in 1953 and became a truck driver. Elvis Presley began his career when he was 19 years old. He made his first commercial record, "That's All Right, Mama," in 1954. Within the next few years, Elvis made many other recordings including the classic hits, "Heartbreak Hotel," "Hound Dog," "Don't Be Cruel," "Love Me Tender," and "All Shook Up". Elvis is best known for his music, although he did star in 33 minor movies such as Viva Las Vegas (1963) and Paradise Hawaiian Style (1966).

    Elvis died on August 16, 1977. Elvis is buried in Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. Elvis Presley, often called the "King of Rock and Roll", is one of the greatest figures in rock and roll history to have ever lived.

    Lucille Ball Mini-Bio

    Lucille Desireè Ball was born on August 6, 1911 in Jamestown, New York.
    Lucy's first show business job was modeling for as the Chesterfield poster girl.
    In 1933 Lucy was in her first movie 'Roman Scandals' as a Goldwyn Girl for MGM.
    It was love at first sight on the set of "Too Many Girls" in 1940, when Lucille met Desi Arnaz, they eloped a few weeks later.

    . Television had begun and was in need of programs -so Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz created the most famous television comedy show in history - "I Love Lucy". With a main cast of 4 including Fred and Ethel Mertz and Lucy and Ricky Ricardo. The first show " I Love Lucy" aired on Oct. 15, 1951. After 6 years the show changed to "The Lucy Desi Comedy Hour". The show remained on the air till 1960.

    Lucille Ball tried her dream part in Broadway in the musical "Wildcat", but it was short-lived.. Lucy came back to television in 1962 with the "The Lucy Show", and in 1968, she began her fourth situation comedy "Here's Lucy", that lasted 6 years. Lucy made her last big screen movie in 1974 as Mame Dennis in the musical "Mame", and her last made for TV movie in 1985 "Stone Pillow".. In 1986 she returned to television with the short-lived "Life With Lucy".

    Lucille Ball was and still is the best and most loved female television comedian in history.
