Lucille Desireè Ball was born on August 6, 1911 in Jamestown, New York.
Lucy's first show business job was modeling for as the Chesterfield poster girl.
In 1933 Lucy was in her first movie 'Roman Scandals' as a Goldwyn Girl for MGM.
On the set of "Too Many Girls" in 1940, Lucille met Desi Arnaz, they eloped a few weeks later.
Years later, Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz created "I Love Lucy". The first I Love Lucy show aired on Oct. 15, 1951.
After 6 years the show changed to "The Lucy Desi Comedy Hour" and remained on the air till 1960.
Lucille Ball tried her dream part in Broadway in "Wildcat", but it was short-lived..
Lucy came back to television in 1962 with the "The Lucy Show".
In 1968, she began "Here's Lucy", which lasted 6 years.
Lucy made her last big screen movie in 1974 as Mame Dennis in the musical "Mame".
In 1986 she returned to television with the short-lived "Life With Lucy".
